Is Honda Civic a truly green car?

If you’re in the market for a new automobile, think about getting a green one. The best way to drive these days is eco-friendly. Green cars like the Honda Civic are a cost-effective means of transportation, not to mention that the emissions generated by them are considerably low. Celebs in Los Angeles are already purchasing eco-friendly vehicles. Should you do the same? If you want to want to help the environment, which is suffering a lot at the present moment, you should start looking for a used Honda Civic for sale in Los Angeles immediately. The question now is whether the Honda Civic is truly a green car. To find out, keep on reading.

The CO2 emissions issue

An engine that burns gasoline or any other kind of fossil fuel releases pollutants that cause damage to the environment. CO2 emissions are the ones that get the most attention. The reason for this is that CO2 emissions contribute to the greenhouse effect. For many people, CO2 emissions are what makes an eco-friendly car, not knowing that things aren’t so simple. Very few cars, including the Honda Civic, are able to maintain emission below the 75g/km figure. But this doesn’t mean that they aren’t green or that they release a great deal of pollutants. It’s important for you to understand that this compact sedan is a green car.

Fuel savings

Eco-friendly cars don’t consume a lot of fuel. The Honda Civic, in particular, is very fuel efficient, being better than four-wheel drives with combustion engines. The Civic is equipped with a turbocharged engine that succeeds in returning a great fuel economy. The bottom line is that you’ll not be spending your entire salary on gas. You can drive for a long time on the highway as you’ll not need to refuel right away. If you don’t care about the environment, at least thin of the money you’re spending.

Eco button

You heard right, the Honda Civic has an eco button. “What does this button do?”  you ask. The big green button activates the eco mode (what else?). When the automobile enters the eco mode, you enjoy great air conditioning, higher gears, and a kinder throttle. Many argue that the eco button is a placebo, but it’s not. The only thing to pay attention to is that not all models have the eco button. Only the cars released after 2016 feature this technology. So, be careful what you buy.
